DistributeYourArticles Vs. ContentCrooner – Why I Cancelled My DistributeYourArticles Membership
Well, today I cancelled my subscription to Disitrbuteyourarticles.com. I will be re-subscribing to Contentcrooner. As mentioned before Distributeyourarticles really drove me crazy because of the fact that although you are allowed to choose up to three categories, most category selections got disapproved and I ended up with most articles only being sent to 70 (!!) article directories. Sorry guys, this does not make any sense and is not worth $24.95 every month. By the way ... price has increased and a monthly membership is now $34.99
I still cannot understand why an article in the game copy niche is not allowed to be submitted to etnertainment/games.
There are tons of other examples. You can read more about it in my review: Which Is Better DistributeYourArticles Or ContentCrooner
I also doubt that their addition of the 10,000 blog network via syndication will make a lot of sense. Why? It is mentioned that there is ONE company behind that 10,000 blog network. So I wonder on how many different IPs there blogs are hosted on? If these blogs are only hosted on some different IPs there won't be a lot of benefit getting your articles added to theses sites. May be even worth, it might cause harm if your UNSPUN article is shown on thousands of sites.
So bye-bye Distributeyourarticles!
I know Contentcrooner is far from being perfect and the cost is $39.95 per month. Nevertheless my articles get sent to at least 200 directories and I only get articles disapproved from time to time. Their approval process is pretty fast and although their website does not look like "hello, join us, we are a BIG FAMILY" they are still a lot better than any other article disitrbution service out there.
I also removed Distirbuteyourarticles from my list of "recommended services" listed in the sidebar.
Indexing Tool Review – Indexingtool.com
Every marketer knows the problem. Getting your backlinks indexed. Unindexed backlinks are useless. You need to get your backlinks indexed to improve your rankings. What if you have 100 articles and only half of them are actually working to push your pages up the SERPs? It's a nightmare scenario, but it is a sad fact, if you do not push your backlinks.
I have been searching for a good, easy to use backlink wordpress plugin for quite a while. Now I came across the IndexingTool. Although this wordpress plugin is pretty basic, it does its job with almost no work involved.
What does IndexingTool do?
Indexingtool is a WordPress plugin.
You put it into your WordPress plugin folder and once it is activated you may add an RSS feed of the backlinks you want to get indexed.
The plugin takes the links and shows them on the bottom of your posts.
E.g.
"Other articles you might be interested in:
The backlink you want to get indexed 1
The backlink you want to get indexed 2
The backlink you want to get indexed 3
etc."
The plugin checks at set time intervals whether your backlink is indexed or not. Once it is indexed, it is no longer displayed below your blog post.
If the page isn’t already indexed then a link to it will be displayed.
The plugin re-checks the rss feed at regular intervals to look for new items. So any articles you add e.g. to your article account at goarticles or ezinearticles will automatically be added to the list.
Indextingtool also comes with a great bonus script: Trackbackindexer
This is great for marketers who submit a lot of articles to ArticleRanks, Unique Article Wizard, Seolinkvine or any other Blog network.
Why? Because many of the blogs your article gets submitted to will send a trackback to your blog. However, this does not necessarily mean that the blog post got indexed. It is a matter of fact that a lot of blogs inside big blog networks are spammy and posts won't get indexed by Google without some additional efforts on your part.
With the help of Indexingtool and the bonus trackback plugin you will be able to fetch all trackbacks. The trackback urls will be saved in an rss file and all you have to do is add the rss feed to the indexingtool plugin hosted on a second feeder blog.
That's it.
The Indexing Tool is designed to take your RSS feeds, check if the pages in it are indexed, and if not it displays a link to that page on your site. Then Google sends spiders out to look at your site, finds the links and follows them to your un-indexed pages. Google will then index those pages.
Indexingtool will work perfectly if you use any of the methods below to get backlinks to your blogs:
* Profile Links
* Go Articles
* Squidoo
* Hubpages
* Blogger
* UAW
* AMA
* Link Wheels
* Blog Farms
* Article Distribution
At the beginning of my post I referred to Indexingtool plugin as a very basic tool. There is no doubt that it is working great for what it is supposed to do: getting your backlinks indexed. It only took one day to see some great results.
However, I am missing some features.
E.g. I installed the trackback plugin on some of my older blog which have a lot of trackbacks. The trackback plugin fetched all of them within some seconds. However, some backlinks that sent a trackback a year ago are no longer there. Blogs are either expired or the post has been removed. There is no way of removing these trackbacks from the rss feed without modifying the whole rss file.
In addition you can only add one rss feed into the Indexingtool. This rss feed has to contain a list of all urls. Well, this is not really a disaster, because you can easily build one large rss feed by using a rss aggregator such as rssmix.com or xfruits.com. But it would be much simpler if this would be integrated into the Indexingtool wordpress plugin.
But nevertheless Indexingtool is definitely a great wordpress plugin and is definitely worth $47. You will be able to finally get your backlinks indexed fast and painlessly.
Contentcrooner And DistributeYourArticles – Which Is Better?
Isnare is DEAD. Right now there are only two mass article submission services out there that are affordable and sending your article out to hundreds (?) of article sites with just some clicks: Contentcrooner and DistributeYourArticles.com.
I have been a member of Contentcrooner since beginning of this year. You can read my review I wrote on 12th April 2010 at ContentCrooner Review.
I cancelled my membership beginning of August 2010, because I decided to give the competitor DistributeYourArticles a try especially as it seems that they have some big things coming (addition of 10,000 sites) and they also aquired articlesender.com. On the day I joined they announced a price increase. I got my membership for $24 monthly. Right now the cost is $34.99 a month.
So first of all why did I stick with Contentcrooner for such a long time?
If you read my ContentCrooner Review you will notice that I was a little upset, because the number of sites my articles got published to was pretty low compared to what is advertised on their site. In addition they advertise that your article will be distributed to new sites that are added to their database. This never happened to any of my articles.
Nevertheless, I stayed with them, because:
* Articles are approved and distributed FAST (oftentimes within some hours!)
* The article directories my articles were submitted to are of good quality. My links showed up in Google within some hours or days.
* My articles were submitted to an average of 200 sites
Beside the negative aspects, I still recommend ContentCrooner and I might switch back to them.
I joined, because of the lower price and the fact that they
* aquired the whole articlesender.com site including their database
* they advertise that a blog network consisting of 10,000 sites will be added over the coming weeks (Syndication by DYA)
So I was under the impression that my articles will go out to many more sites compared to Contentcrooner. WRONG! I have to admit at the moment I am kind of disappointed.
I submitted a total of 50 articles in 10 completely different niches. My articles got submitted to an average of 130 sites. However, this also includes google groups (I receive tons of Unable to Deliver ERROR mails from non existing groups in my e-mail account...)
In addition the editors at Distributemyarticles cause me headaches. They are very picky when it comes to category selection.
For example. I put an article about "labor induction" in the category "Family /Pregnancy". It got disapproved. I was only allowed to put it in the category "Health". (?????)
I had an article about "boat plans". It got disapproved, because I put it in the category hobbies. I then tried home improvement. No success. I contacted support and was told that the correct category is "sports/boating".
Well, the examples continue and it really drove me almost mad.
The reason why the amount of article sites my articles got distributed to is so low is obviously caused by the fact that I was only able to select ONE category in most cases. Most category selections got disapproved.
I really wonder why they are doing this. From my point of view they have about the same database of article directories Contentcrooner is submitting to and Contentcrooner ALWAYS accepted my category selections. I NEVER had a single article disapproved because of category selection.
Well, so right now I am dispapointed with the results. I will wait for some more weeks and see what will happen when their 10,000 DYA article syndication network is life.
My conclusion:
Contentcrooner is working fine. The downside is that they don't do anything to improve their service. No new article directories are added etc. The site offers exactly the same it offered when I joined back in January 2010.
DistributeYourArticles is actively working to improve their service and add new features. This is what I really like. I really hope they will indeed increase the number of sites your article gets send to and also gives some training to their editors. Otherwise I will be gone.
So which mass article submission service should you join?
Right now it is hard to tell, because I have no idea if the addition of the 10,000 blog snydication network will be really effective. In case it is (and I will keep you updated) I would rank DistributeYourArticles No.1
However, right now, ContentCrooner would be my No.1 and if the new features of DistributeYourArticles will not be online within some weeks, I will resubscribe to ContentCrooner.
Articleranks Review Updated – Articleranks Gets Even Better!
I already wrote an Articleranks review some months ago telling how much I like it. Now they have upgraded their service and Articleranks has become even better.
Now your articles will get more exposure than ever because Articleranks has just introduced 2 new features.
1) Your articles will now be published on social sites on multiple accounts, users will provide them their login information and we will publish your articles on social sites.
2) Their second feature is also very exciting, they will now be building social bookmarking links on multiple accounts, again provided by members, into your articles that they distribute on blogs, FTP sites and social sites, so your article links will not only get indexed quicker but they will pass more and more power to your money site, as random selections of your articles will also have incoming links.
As you can see both, blow owner AND publisher will benefit from this new features. If you are a publisher your links will get indexed faster and as a blog owner you will get backlinks to your blog.
The best part for blog owners is that you will not only earn credits by adding your blog to receive content, you will also earn credits by adding social bookmark accounts. These credits can be used to publish articles. So your Articleranks membership can be completely free.
I have been a monthly paying member, because I publish a lot of articles and the monthly membership fee is definitely worth it. I am still getting great results from using Articleranks and results will even become better with the new features added.
Articleranks is now by far the best article blog network and outranks Seolinkvine, MAN etc.
